Vacation Day Camps

Make Your Own Mythology

June 15, 2018 – for ages 3-6

Put wings on your shoes and soar with us up to Mt. Olympus and beyond! Invent your own language for Cerberus, tame Medusa’s snakes and take a ride on Pegasus. Kids come up with their own heroes, gods and quests while becoming mythology experts. We draw musical inspiration such films as Hercules and Mulan.

Camp runs from 9a-12p and meets at 232 Carroll Street.

Shakespeare in Play

June 15, 2018 – for ages 7-11

Welcome to a camp that introduces kids to Shakespeare’s dramatic masterpieces in a way that is accessible, enriching and fun! Students will learn the plot of famous plays and act out the salient points of character and through long-form improvisations, as well as work on short passages and scenes. This instills the children with cultural references from the wisdom of plays like A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet that they will utilize for years to come. Games surrounding the characters and their incredible conflicts, desires and stories make the class an incredibly joyous exploration of both theater and Shakespeare.

50% of your child’s tuition will benefit the Campfire Project – bringing Shakespeare to Syrian Refugees at Camp Ristona in Greece.

Camp runs from 9a-3p and meets at 182 Remsen Street.

Mary Poppins

June 22, 2018 – for ages 3-6

In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and – SNAP – the job’s a game! Pack your valise and umbrella and join us as we soar with Mary Poppins and the Banks children. We’ll step into our chalk paintings to go on a magical adventure, make our very own kite to fly, ride a carousel animal into enchanted lands, have a laugh-fest with Uncle Albert and a supercalifragilistic time learning songs and dances from the beloved classic!

Camp runs from 9a-12p and meets at 232 Carroll Street.

June 22, 2018 – for ages 7-11

Having fun, making funnies, and working together to build a limitless adventure: that’s what improvisation is all about. Together, we’ll build the tools to think on our feet, discover silly games, and create a show with no script to hold us back! We’ll be developing improv skills as a powerful social tool and an opportunity to expand our knowledge of the stage.

Camp runs from 9a-3p and meets at 182 Remsen Street.
